EYFS Outdoor Area
We are so excited to have Cool Canvas on site this week developing our Outdoor Area. The children are so excited to see the finished product and to get learning outside in the new space!
Week 4 – A Trip to the Woods!
This week, we walked to the local woods. We had so much fun exploring! We chose our favourite leaves to use for some art work at school, worked with our partner to build a house/hotel for a bug or small animal, built stick towers, wrote our names using natural resources and went on a scavenger hunt for different types of objects.
Creativity in Reception
Today has been a busy day in our Reception classes. The children have worked hard creating their own harvest artwork using natural resources. They have also been experimenting with colour. Look at these amazing pieces of artwork!
Year 1 Art: Jasper John
This week in Year 1 we are exploring the artist Jasper John. Today we have been experimenting with colour and lines. The children have been practising how to make their brushstrokes thinner and thicker, as well as creating a lighter and darker shade of a given colour.
