Gather round with your family and enjoy the many treats that our collection of talented individuals have to offer…
This is the overview of your learning for this week. It includes what you will be doing in English, Maths, Reading, Topic, PE and Computing. Each day, we will release the activity that we would like you do at the time that is showing on your timetable. This means that you will do the learning at the same time each day.
Important Information for Parents/Carers
Learning activities will be published on Seesaw daily from Monday 20th April (when school term time begins). It is an expectation that children complete as much of this learning as possible.
Please watch this video for information about home learning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IG_WzfvhvuM
A suggested timetable is attached to help you and your child create effective and manageable routines. Please also note that activities will be posted throughout the day, not all at once.
We thank you all for your continuing support during this challenging time.
Mr Emmens and Mrs Bowes-Mulligan
Split into two parts, read through the Easter Story and complete one of the accompanying tasks.
Write a poem where each line starts with a letter from your first name (an acrostic). It can be about anything, but it should not be about you or your name.
When we are free
When we are free,
In the weeks or months to come,
Look forward to hugging friends
Laugh and play together.
In spite of everything,
After all of this
Maybe life will be even better.
Y5 timetable for the week beginning 23rd March 2020
Mr Emmens explains how to use the new timetable and the week’s home learning tasks (split into 8 parts).
Year 5 pupils now have access to Times Tables Rock Stars to help with home learning.
To log in, open the website and select the ‘Student’ tab.
Each pupil’s username is their the initial of their first name, next to their full surname. All lowercase, no spaces. (e.g. Joe Bloggs would be: jbloggs). All passwords are currently set to: rocks
During the first sign-in, the website will prompt children to create a rock avatar, which will be how they appear to others.
All games support times tables development and are monitored by class teachers.
