This week in Year one we have been revisiting our numbers from 0-10 and looking and the different ways numbers can be shown. We have been using tens frames to represent amounts and have challenged ourselves to add small amounts together.
Key Stage 1
Respectful Learning Community
This half-term we are focusing as a whole school on ‘developing a respectful learning community’. In assembly yesterday, the children voted for the growth mindset crowns that they felt would be most relevant for this focus. The children chose challenge, teamwork, creativity and reflection!
First Week Back for Year 2
This week in year 2 we are working on place value. We are exploring numbers up to 100 and enjoyed using base 10 to make and add big numbers!
Year 1 Clay Boats
Today in Year 1 we made our boats out of clay. We had to follow our designs carefully and select appropriate tools to help us. We are so excited to paint them once they dry and can’t wait to show you the finished products!
Anti-Bullying Curriculum Day
This Friday we hosted another whole-school curriculum day, which focused on anti-bullying. All children from reception to year 5 participated in an exciting range of creative activities. It was great to see so many children from different year groups working together.
