Merry Christmas from the Staff
A very merry Christmas from all at Queen’s Hill Primary! Thank you to everyone in our school community for their support this year.
Year 1 Toy Café
Join the Year 1 team as they host a very special Toy Café. Listen as Mrs. Walden reads you a story and Miss Stephens shows you how to make your very own toy at home.
The activity should be done with parents/carers. Children will be coming home with resources (including the split pins) today (3rd December 2020).
Winter Windowland Challenge
Watch Mrs. Sheppard as she explains the Latest Molly and Jasper challenge.
Send in your submissions to hub@queenshill.norfolk.sch.uk, or post up on your home learning platform (Seesaw, Tapestry or Google Classroom)
Year 2 celebrate World Mental Health Day
As part of their work celebrating World Mental Health Day, Year 2 produced some cards and letters to encourage and/or people who are special to them. Take a look at some of their creations! Well done Year 2!
Year 1 Art Techniques
This week in Year 1 we have been developing our artistic techniques. Take a look at the autumnal colours and our use of brushstrokes.
Year 1 Art: Jasper John
This week in Year 1 we are exploring the artist Jasper John. Today we have been experimenting with colour and lines. The children have been practising how to make their brushstrokes thinner and thicker, as well as creating a lighter and darker shade of a given colour.
Year 2 Outdoor Learning
Year 2 have been thoroughly enjoying their outdoor learning sessions. This week they have been creating artwork using natural resources.

Year 1 Family and Friends Curriculum Day
We had a Curriculum Day on Friday to launch our new topic ‘Family and Friends’. It was a slightly different curriculum day (as we did our learning jobs in class), but we were able to complete activities set by different teachers from across the school who had pre-filmed lessons for us to do!
Our favourite activity was the Art activity where we created our own crowns. Take a look at some of the pictures of our work examples! We are also really proud of our ribbon weaving on the fence outside our classroom too.
