Pinching Worms

Watch the video to help you understand one of this week’s physical activities from the learning pack for this week. You don’t need to do them all in one go!

⭐️Create some worms out of cooked spaghetti and move them from one place to another using your pinching fingers. You could make it even trickier and use chopsticks or tweezers. Race against someone in your family or time yourself to see if you can get quicker.

Check the learning pack for more tasks for the week.

Bean Diary: Week 1

As part of our learning over the next few weeks, we will be making a ‘bean diary’ where we will record how the plant has changed each week. If you had a go at planting runner beans at home, you are welcome to draw your own plant in your bean diary!

You will need paper, a pencil and some coloured pencils.

Have a look at the picture of the runner bean. What does it look like? Can you draw the bean in ‘week 1’ of your bean diary?

Charlie challenge: can you think of a word to describe the bean? Have a go at writing the initial sound next to your picture (for example, ‘s’ for small).

Please upload a picture of your runner bean diary to Tapestry and come back next week for an update on Miss Wright’s runner bean plant!

Miss Hunter’s Weekly Challenge

Each week Miss Hunter will be setting you a challenge.

This week’s challenge is to draw a dinosaur. Sounds easy… but this challenge needs to be completed with your eyes closed! Once you’ve drawn your outline, you are allowed to open your eyes and colour the dinosaur in.

Don’t forget to upload your pictures to Seesaw!

Maths Measuring with Superworm

Watch the video to help you understand one of this week’s maths activities from the learning pack for this week. You don’t need to do them all in one go!

⭐️Make some superworms using spaghetti, string or playdough. Can you put them in size order? Which one is the longest/shortest? Are any the same length? Challenge: Try measuring with a ruler or tape measure.

Check the learning pack for more tasks for the week.
