Year 2-4 had an amazing morning, meeting the author and illustrator Benji Davies. They got the chance to listen to his stories and create their own illustrations. The children were all very engaged and asked some great questions. It looks like we may have some future authors and illustrators in our midst!
Hear Mrs Carpenter share one of her favourite bedtime stories, I don’t want curly hair.
Year 5 had a Vikings workshop today in school. They loved getting involved with some of the activities Bjorn (their Viking guide) showed them.
In the pictures below, you can see the fun they had grinding corn with a quern stone, handling Viking artefacts and looking at Viking weaponry. What a great way to end the first half-term!
Year 3 parents were invited into class this afternoon for the Jelly Bean Café! They joined in with a range of maths games and activities which worked on developing reasoning skills. A great way to end the first half-term.

Norwich Science Festival
Year 6 went on a trip today to the Norwich Science Festival. They attended a session called, ‘Fireworks: Real science or just big bangs?’ They learnt all about the job of a pyrotechnic and how science is used to make fireworks. They had a brilliant time and returned to school so excited to continue with their learning in science!
We’re opening up our well-stocked research library to parents every Thursday afternoon from 2.30 – 3pm. Come along, meet with our school librarian, choose a book to read with your child, and browse our range of books for adults from our parent library. We look forward to seeing you there.
The library will remain open every Thursday until 3.30pm so that you can also come along with your child.
The hall was full of singing this morning as we had our harvest assembly. Many thanks to parents, pupils and staff for all the generous donations of food.
