  • Nursery: Each peach pear plum

    This week, we have read the story Each Peach Pear Plum. We learned about the queen and about the platinum jubilee. We enjoyed playing in the castle role play area and creating our own castles. We have also been mixing colours.

  • Nursery: The Gingerbread Man

    This week, we have been looking at the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’. We explored loose parts to create a gingerbread man. We also played some gingerbread man themed maths games and explored magnets and hooks on the cranes/lorries to carry a load.

  • Nursery: Little Red Riding Hood

    Last week, we continued to focus on the story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. We discovered paw prints in our classroom and thought they might belong to the big, bad wolf. We created wanted posters to find the wolf and made traps. The children enjoyed sticking their posters up around the classroom for others to see.

  • Nursery: Little Red Riding Hood

    This week, we have enjoyed looking at the story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. We made baskets, explored red paint and looked for red objects outside. We have also started our RWI phonics and learnt how to say ‘m’ and ‘s’

  • Nursery: Supertato

    Last week, the children in nursery enjoyed the story ‘Supertato’. We made traps for the evil pea, created our own supertato and explored printing with vegetables.

  • Summer Half Term!

    Year One have worked so hard this half term… All of the staff are so proud of how amazing they have been settling back into school life and throwing themselves into their learning. We have been extremely lucky to be able to regularly visit the Outdoor Classroom, this has helped to inspire our learning and is something the children have really enjoyed.

  • Handa’s Surprise

    This week, we have read the story of ‘Handa’s Surprise’. We talked about the different types of fruit and animals and explored where we live and the places that we have visited. 

  • Year 1 Cafe

    Year 1 enjoyed writing postcards from the Kalahari Desert with their grownups at our cafe. We made 3D Meerkats too! 

  • Crime Scene!

    The children couldn’t believe it this week when they saw a crime scene in the classroom! After lots of investigating and demanding to see the CCTV the children decided that it must have been Goldilocks breaking in. The week has been filled with creating lots of wanted posters, police investigations and designing and making traps to capture Goldilocks.

  • What’s the weather?

    Today in Year 2 we made weather forecasts for Norwich and Nairobi!

  • Chinese New Year in Reception

    This week in Reception we have enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the rat. We have made lanterns to decorate our classroom and we have each done a piece of writing on an animal of our choice from the ancient story. 

  • Making 3D Shapes

    Year 2 enjoyed making 3D shapes in maths today, we looked at the faces to guess what the net would make!

  • Counting in Reception

    This week Reception looked at counting. On Friday we used a graph to find out the classes favourite fruit. In Les Papillion Rouge the favourite was strawberry but Les Papillion Bleu chose apple and Les Papillion Vert picked bananas. 

  • Draw it, Solve it, Prove it, Explain it

    This week in Year 6 we are studying area and perimeter in maths. We have been working hard to prove our answers and explain our mathematical understanding using specific vocabulary. 

  • Year 5 Get Cooking!

    Danger-Us club had a wonderful time baking this afternoon. We all worked hard to make the KS2 corridor smell wonderful, and have taken home armfuls of treats to share!
