KS2 Y5 Part-time Teacher
TEMPORARY PART- TIME Y5 CLASS TEACHER ASAP
MPS1-6 depending on experience
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and outstanding teacher to join our Queen’s Hill family to work 2.5 days a week (potentially Monday, Tuesday and one half day). This is a temporary position, initially for the autumn term but may be extended to the spring and summer term.
Ideally you will have proven experience in teaching Year 5 or 6 pupils and be keen to promote outdoor learning and have an interest in humanities, PE and IT. You will have a thorough understanding of SEN and have a firm yet positive approach to behaviour management.
We are a supportive and caring team and nurture our teachers to be the best. Many of our staff, including those who started as NQTs, have gone on to leadership roles within the school and beyond. We have a great programme of CPD and encourage our staff to take risks to ensure the learning experiences for our children are exciting and meaningful.
In our school we have a “can do” attitude. We expect you to work hard and be committed to being part of the wider life of the school. In return you will feel part of a team of professionals who truly want to, and do, make a difference.
We have some great resources and facilities – a cookery room, two libraries, a dance studio and school dogs. We are embracing the mastery approach to learning across the curriculum and are keen to further develop sport, the arts and languages. Take a look at our website and see if our passion for learning matches yours. If it does, please ensure you explain in your letter of application why you think you would be an asset to our school.
We are committed to ensuring the very highest possible standards of care to our young people and as such require all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS with a barred list check will be required and other procedures and checks will be followed as part of our safeguarding procedures. The school is an equal opportunities employer.
"This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations."
Please note that if you have not heard by 8th October 2021 then you have not been successful on this occasion. We regret that we cannot offer individual feedback to those who are not called for interview.
Closing Date: Friday 10th September, however we may interview ahead of this date so early applications are recommended.
