Queen’s Hill Primary Ofsted Reports

02/02/16

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please find on the link below a letter from Julie Winyard, Her Majesty’s Inspector, following our recent monitoring inspection visit.

Ms Winyard was very pleased with what she saw at the school, especially the positive attitude the children have towards their learning. The report illustrates some of the key changes that have taken place since the full Ofsted inspection in June 2015. Obviously the things that were praised during the full inspection (e.g Reading for a star) continue to take place!

The atmosphere of learning in the school is fantastic – children are wanting to learn and they are showing resilience, grit and determination. All credit goes to the current Year 6 children who are all wanting to do the very best they can.

We could not have this positive atmosphere without your support. Education is a partnership between home and school. Thank you for encouraging your child to read, to play maths games and to ask questions. Around the school you will see our message of “showing a passion for learning”  -the children (and staff!) are definitely showing this.

Dear Parents/Carers

As the new Chair of Governors I am immensely proud of how Queen’s Hill Primary School continues to develop. We are a school that is continuing to grow as the number of our houses in our estate increases and this requires the school to be highly adaptable with changing class sizes and a continuing stream of new pupils joining us.

The governing body and senior leadership team have been working with the rest of the school body to ensure we are offering the best possible environment for Queen’s Hill pupils to learn and reach their potential. We will continue to strive for excellence as the senior leadership team and Governors conduct our in-depth reviews of each subject  area to identify improvements and learning opportunities. As we prepare for a physical expansion of our school we look  forward to the challenges ahead of us on our continued journey.

Regards

Stacy Hartshorn
