Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dream of once in a lullaby...

The words we’ve sung together,
Our voices all as one
Now we need your pictures to accompany our song

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dream of
Dreams really do come true
So paint yourself a rainbow

Make the colours bright and strong
And at the end of your rainbow
You know what needs to come
Draw your pot of treasure

What you would like to find
It could be friends or family
Whatever’s in your mind
It might be a polished pebble,

A shell found in the sand
Or a tiny daisy’s petal
Or a feather that you’ve found

It could be love or kindness
A world that’s full of peace
A dewdrop in the garden
Or a sumptuous feast

There is no right or wrong for this
Let your imagination go wild
Let the treasure be your dreams you dream
And help us all to smile

Someday, I’ll  wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

So paint your rainbow picture
With treasure of your dreams
And send it by the 3rd of June
For all of us to see

Norfolk and Waveney Mind Festival of Kindness

Norfolk and Waveney are marking ‘Mental Health Awareness week’ by celebrating all things kind at their virtual ‘Festival of Kindness’. From the 18th- 24th of May their social media will be filled with events- music- talks- activities for families and well-being advice.

They would love to hear about kind things that have happened to you that we can all celebrate. It could be the smallest gesture that made a huge difference, something you have remembered for a long time or something that happened very recently.

Maybe you or your family could submit a poem, artwork or photo around the theme of kindness?
Maybe you want to send a shout out to someone who is particularly kind or someone that you want to make smile?

Send them a message via social media or email marketing@norfolkandwaveneymind.org.uk

Find out more information on their website, here.

Lyrics

What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces, of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, sayin’, “How do you do?”
They’re really sayin’, “I love you”I hear babies cryin’, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more, than I’ll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
