Raising Readers

On Friday 9th May Richard Bacon, South Norfolk MP, visited the Queen’s Hill Library to read to a group of Key Stage 2 children.

The visit is part of the Norfolk County Council’s Raising Readers campaign. ┬áThe scheme aims to get the whole community involved in supporting children’s education by encouraging parents, County Council staff and volunteers from Norfolk businesses to go into schools and get reading with children.

The children all enjoyed listening to “The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me” by Roald Dahl, and had the opportunity to ask questions at the end.

If you would like to come in and listen to readers at Queen’s Hill or know of anyone in the community who would like too, then please contact the school office on 01603 746857

or email office@queenshill.norfolk.sch.uk.
